Do you come to my campground or RV site?

Yes! That RV Guy Craig is a mobile RV repair service, which means I come directly to your RV at your campground, seasonal site, or home. There’s no need to pack up your RV and take it to a dealership for many common repairs.

Can I bring my RV to you?

No. I am mobile only.

What areas do you provide mobile RV repair in?

I work Seasonally in 2 Locations:

May - Mid October I am based in Lake George, New York and provide mobile RV repair within a 25 mile radius throughout the surrounding area, including Queensbury, Glens Falls, Warrensburg, and other nearby Adirondack communities. Service outside my standard area may be available for an additional mileage charge.

End October - April I am based in Athens, Texas and provide mobile RV repair within a 30 mile radius throughout the surrounding area, including Tyler, Flint, Palestine, and other nearby East Texas communities. Service outside my standard area may be available for an additional mileage charge.

What types of RV repairs do you perform?

I diagnose and repair a wide range of RV systems and components. Services may include RV air conditioners, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators, electrical systems, plumbing, awnings, slide-outs, appliances, and other common RV issues.

What do you not work on?

I do not work on:

generators
anything under the hood (motorhomes)
tires/wheels
black tanks
windshields
suspension
perform oil changes

How much does mobile RV repair cost?

The cost depends on the repair, required parts, labor, and your location. My current service-call and labor rates are available on my Rates page. I believe in being upfront about my pricing before work begins.

Do I have to pay a service-call fee if i'm in the same campground as you?

Yes. My service call fee applies to all appointments, even when your RV is located in the same campground where we are staying. The fee is part of my standard pricing and covers more than just travel—it helps account for the time, equipment, tools, and preparation required to provide professional mobile RV service at your site. I keep my pricing consistent for all customers, regardless of their location within my service area.

Do you offer free RV Repair estimates?

No, I do not offer free estimates. RV issues often require hands-on diagnostic testing to accurately determine the cause of the problem and what is needed for the repair. Because diagnosing an issue requires time, knowledge, tools, and expertise, my standard service call and applicable labor fees apply.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. I am often booked several days to weeks out. The earlier you're able to schedule an appointment, the better. Call or Text 903-681-4718 or fill out my contact form to schedule.

Do you offer same-day repairs?

I am often booked several days to weeks out. On occasion, I have same-day availability, though it is not frequent.

Do you guarantee your RV repairs?

I stand behind the work I perform. Warranty coverage can vary depending on the repair, parts used, manufacturer requirements, and circumstances, so I'll explain any applicable workmanship or parts warranty for your specific repair. However, I cannot guarantee against future damage caused by circumstances outside of my control. This includes severe or changing weather conditions, freezing temperatures, storms, accidents, equipment or component failure, pre-existing damage, owner use, or other unforeseen incidents.

Do you offer RV winterization in Lake George, NY?

Yes. I offer mobile RV winterization in the Lake George area. Appointments are limited and tend to fill quickly as temperatures begin dropping, so I recommend scheduling well in advance. Checkout the Service Packages page for more details.

Can you fix every RV problem on-site?

Many RV repairs can be completed right at your campsite or location, but not every repair is appropriate for mobile service. Some jobs may require specialized equipment or a traditional repair facility. If a repair is outside the scope of my mobile service, I'll let you know rather than take on work that can't be properly completed on-site.

Do you do RV Warranty or Insurance Work?

Yes, I work with insurance companies and many extended service plans for covered RV repairs.

However, I do not perform manufacturer warranty work.

Coverage, authorization, deductibles, and payment requirements vary by insurance company and service plan. We can discuss the process when scheduling your appointment.
